Chillin’ Bison

I am FINALLY DONE with my winter themed challenge of painting 30 paintings in 30 days.!!! Yay!! Yippee!! Hooray!!! Can’t ya tell I’m excited?

I’m so relieved and happy to have been able to complete this challenge since at times I wasn’t quite sure I’d be able to. So many things kept coming up in life that were making me fall farther and farther behind, and no matter how much I’d paint it seemed like I would never catch up. But I finally did and completed this painting on Saturday. Thank goodness for 10 minute paintings, they are a life saver. tee hee

I saved the biggest canvas for last. This beautiful beast was painted on a 18 x 24 canvas, making it my 30th winter scene painting for this month.

Painted with a palette knife, and I can I just say, you have NO idea how much paint went into this painting. eeek. I’ve been wanting to paint this photo for quite some time and I finally got around to it, it didn’t turn out exactly the way I had imagined it would, but I’m satisfied with it over all.

I used a beautiful photo by Photographer ESP as a reference for this painting.

Now to work on other things.
