It was a nice, chilly day yesterday, so spent the day indoors, mostly painting. Didn’t get much done though, I don’t know where all the time goes, but did complete this painting and started another.
I love lighthouses and just had to include one in this winter challenge.
This light house is really called Pigeon Point Lighthouse and was built in 1871 to guide ships on the Pacific Coast of California. It is the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast of the United States, and is still an active Coast Guard aid to navigation. More information here on Wikipendia.
This was painting on a 6 x 9 canvas using a palette knife and a bit of brush work for the finer details.
